Saturday in the South

On Saturday, we went to Tuscaloosa for the Alabama-Vanderbilt football game.  Some places in Tuscaloosa are on our must stop list.  First up:

Then we stooped at Tractor Supply Co. to check prices for chicken feed.  This is where we got our first set of chickens.

On our way to the football stadium, we drove through one of the areas hit by the April 27th tornado.  This grassy field was houses and businesses door to door.

A lot of the rubble and devastation has been cleaned up.  But many buildings still show the telltale signs.

The tornado was strong enough to peel up chunks of pavement and concrete.

This lake was beautiful!  Now it is filled with trash from the storm.

On to happier thoughts!  I want this elephant for my yard!

The front of the stadium 3 hours before game time.

A panoramic view from our seats 2 hours before game time.

An un-zoomed shot from our seats.

And then my camera batteries went dead!  The game was wonderful,  Alabama won easily and Vandy gave them a great battle.

  1. OH NO!!! Your camera died!!! Bummer. But you could then give your full concentration to the game.

Tuscaloosa! We were there. We stopped there for something to eat on our way to see you. uh, wait. No, we had to be in Mississippi when we stopped, not in Alabama. And there was no big stadium in the town we drove through. I know! It was Tupelo where we stopped! I think.

Hey! Was Tuscaloosa where we stayed at a CG and you guys came and visited us?! I KNOW Tuscaloosa sounds familiar. Damn! Getting old and forgetful is a terrible thing.

  2. I like the elephant too!

So, my silly blog is called Rosemary's Ramblings. but I only rambled twice and not very much. It was in 2009! Wow! And I couldn't even figure out how to upload pictures. If it wasn't for you and your blog, I still would have forgotten all about mine! What did I say previously about getting old and forgetful, see how right I am, it is scary! lol

Hope you don't me rambling on your blog! Hey! Maybe I'll just adopt this place as mine!

It took me forever again to figure out how to log into the blogspot. I wrote it down this time. Perhaps that will help!

Okay, night now. Gotta go. Chat again (or rather ramble again) soon!!
